An Upperreach executive served as CFO of a German electronic manufacturing services (EMS) provider during a three-year period of international expansion and organisational change.

Following acquisitions in the Netherlands, Slovakia and later the United States, the group reached €160 million in consolidated revenue and more than 800 employees.

The mandate focused on transforming a business that had been owner-led for more than 25 years, including establishing KPI and financial reporting for its new private-equity owners and banking consortium.

This transformation was delivered through Covid-19, supply-chain disruption, integration of acquired businesses and restructuring — requiring leadership across management, investors, banks and other stakeholders.

Mandate
2.5 YEARS
Revenue
€30M+
Cost savings

An Upperreach executive served as CFO of a German fibre network operator with revenues above €30 million during a 2.5-year period of significant change.

The mandate began with the integration of two businesses with different corporate cultures, IT systems and operating processes, alongside refinancing rounds and bank negotiations to support continued network expansion.

When the private-equity investor withdrew further funding support, the CFO led cost reductions while protecting the operational ramp-up. The mandate subsequently extended to due diligence, sale preparation and negotiations with the banking consortium.

Following the sale, the role continued through integration into the new corporate structure, including implementation of 50% cost savings.
